    • Chef Maurice and Arthur are at it again, solving a murder in the Cotswolds during the annual Spring Fayre.A famous tv chef comes to the village to be a judge in the annual baking contest. Unfortunately, it's her last day in the spotlight. Chef Maurice and Arthur must deal with blackmail and a variety of suspects- a local politician with a mistress, a controlling wife, a retiring headmistress, a scorned best friend among others. Chef Maurice also has to deal with his sous chef Patrick taking anot [...]

    • Same great characters and setting as the other two but in this third book in the series I did not like the plot or the resolution as much.

    • I am so sad there are only three of these books in the series (so far???). I adore them. I got my mother reading them too. A cozy mystery that is a fun read with lots of humour and characters that I enjoy spending time with. I chuckled out loud in a few places and just enjoyed a sick day afternoon curled up with this novel.

    • Author J. A. Lang has penned the best Chef Maurice book yet! Her first two books in this series were so wonderful, I wouldn’t have thought it was possible to improve on them, but she has, and done so brilliantly! In CHEF MAURICE AND THE BUNNY-BOILER BAKE OFF, Chef Maurice finds himself in the middle of another murder. As if he doesn’t already have his hands full with running his restaurant, Le Cochon Rouge, dealing with his sous-chef who is having personal issues, and all his other responsib [...]

    • I just finished reading Chef Maurice and the Bunny-Boiler Bake Off (Chef Maurice Cotswold Mysteries Book 3) by J. A. Lang. We once again return to the quaint country village of Beakley to attend the Beakely Spring Fayre. We are also here to help Chef investigate the murder of a certain member of the Great Beakley Bake Off judging panel. Open this book and step back into the world and lives of some of my favorite literary characters. How nice to return and take a stroll up the village green with [...]

    • Chef Maurice and the Bunny-Boiler Bake Off by J.A. LangThe Third Chef Maurice MysteryIt's time for the Beakley Spring Fayre and, much to Chef Maurice's dismay, a celebrity chef has not only been invited, but as taken his place on the judging panel of the Bake Off! As Chef Bonvivant and Chef Maurice join together in their condemnation of Miranda Mathews, celebrity chef, PC Lucy has to deal with meeting Patrick's motherd entering one of her not quite edible cakes in the competition.I'm thrilled to [...]

    • I love this series! The Bunny Boiler Bake Off is the third installment in the Chef Maurice series. These books are really so much fun and they get better and better.Patrick and Lucy's relationship is progressing, and if you read the last book, you know they were having some issues. Chef Maurice has again found himself in the middle of a murder investigation when another celebrity chef is found dead. The victim, Chef Miranda seemed to have a lot of enemies, so finding her killer is not an easy tas [...]

    • It's Spring in the Cotswold village of Beakley and that means it's time for the Beakley Spring Fayre. Chef Maurice is very unhappy to have lost his seat on the judging table to celebrity chef Miranda Mathews and warns of dire consequences to the judges if he is not on the panel to save them. And unfortunately, he's right. Miranda is found floating and it's up to Chef Maurice (in his mind anyway) to help PC Lucy find the murderer and save the day. And if the murder wasn't enough to keep him busy, [...]

    • It's the day of the Beakley Spring Fayre and Chef Maurice has been removed from the baked-goods judging panel. Taking his place is the celebrity "chef", Miranda Matthews, who is friends with a member of the Fayre planning committee. While Miranda may lack skills as a cook, she is certainly gifted in making enemies. When she is found murdered, Chef Maurice is soon on the case with his best-friend, Arthur, a professional food critic. I absolutely adore this series. The returning characters are so [...]

    • I am a Big fan of Chef Maurice and Arthur. Patrick and his Beau also make the book a lovable read. The 3rd edition starts nicely with Maurice fighting for a seat as a judge in the Spring Fayre. A celebrity is invited to the fayre and gets herself killed.Chef Maurice Being a Noble citizen decides to unearth the killer :).The plot thickens with rivalry for renting a old building to something sinister as blackmailing. And voila in the end MR Chef finds the killer.I somehow knew who the killer by the [...]

    • This is another fun installment in the series. Chef Maurice is a force unto himself once he has begun investigating, nothing will deter him. And of course, he cannot investigate on an empty stomach. Arthur is particularly grateful for that since his wife has put him on a diet. The mystery moves along fast enough. The only thing I felt was a drawback was that more wasn't done with PC Lucy and Patrick's mother. The synopsis makes out like the bulletproof pudding Lucy makes is a big plot point, but [...]

    • Chef Maurice is in the middle of yet another murder mystery. I love reading this series, and this installment reinforces that feeling. Chef, his employees, their friends and family--all the characters are fun and personable. The mystery is very well written, and the identity of the murderer totally surprised me.I was glad to see Chef's pig, Hamilton, back in this book, as I think he is adorable! I'm also enjoying the development of the relationship between Patrick and PC Lucy. This book provides [...]

    • Chef Maurice and his food critic friend, Arthur Wordington-Smythe, return in their third hilarious adventure. It's springtime in the Cotswolds and time for the Beakley Spring Fayre that features a bake-off contest. Chef Maurice is rather grumpy because his spot as judge has been taken by a TV celebrity cook named Miranda Matthews. Then Miranda is murdered and Chef Maurice learns that there are many suspects who didn't like the woman. The plot twists and turns as he follows clues and in true Maur [...]

    • * Copy via First Reads and the author *I won this copy on First Reads and boy am I glad I did!The story was wonderfully written with so much wit, humor, and intrigue. The characters were quirky and I loved the small village setting. All in all I loved it!I have discovered a new author to read and will get the rest in the series.Note: The first in the series is currently free on Kindle for anyone who would like to give it a try!

    • This is an enjoyable cozy mystery with zany characters and a fun plot. Chef Maurice is back on the case when the body of a celebrity chef is found at the Beakley Spring Fayre. I love the witty dialogue, British vibe and interesting twists that kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end. I look forward to book four of the Chef Maurice Cozy Mysteries. I was fortunate to receive an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

    • It is Spring time in the Cotswolds, and time for the Spring Fayre. Chef Maurice and his pals are back, and ready to solve another mystery when a celebrity chef is found murdered. Chef Maurice also has a few other things to worry about as well, when someone makes an offer to one of his staff. This is a fun read, full of twists and turns! I love all of the characters in this series, and each book is like visiting old friends. I look forward to their next adventure!

    • Another fun, cozy tale in this series. The characters continue to lovably develop, stories continue to be inventive, and the sweets continue to roll as, in this three-quel, Chef Maurice and his motley band of food warriors solve yet another mysterious death in their quaint little corner of England. A well written, comical, and successful gem in J.A. Lang's crown.

    • Chef Maurice and the Bunny-Boiler Bake Off was quite funny and enjoyable to read. The pace was good. There were a couple twists that were well done. I highly recommend it for a mind vacation sort of read. You do not have to read the other two Chef Maurice books for this one to make sense.

    • I love this series so much and have become very fond of the characters, especially Arthur. The mysteries are very good too!Looking forward to #4 !!

    • Maybe the third in the series is one too many but I didn't enjoy it as much as the two previous Chef Maurice books
