    • ★★★★★Goodnight Lulu by Paulette BoganThis is a super cute children's book. It is about a little chicken, who maybe a little chicken to go to bed at night. Mama explains how she will defend her against the fears Lulu has come up with.

    • This is a delaying-bedtime story of the "what if" variety. In this one, the what ifs are "what if various animals come into my room", with the vigorous and active response.Momma's language is over-the-top in its cutesiness, but that just adds to the fun of the book. This is a more active going-to-bed book, so you should probably read it at the BEGINNING of your bedtime rotation instead of as your last book before lights out.

    • Ages 2-5. One of my favorite bedtime stories. Little chick wants to know what Mama will do if a variety of terrible things happen. A funny twist in the story has Mama tucking someone else into bed, too. I love the character's expressions. They will have children (and adults) laughing all the way to dreamland.

    • Lulu's can't go to sleep, she's afraid the bears will get her! But Momma tells her that the she'll scare the bears away. But what if the pigs come? Then I will tuck them in with you and give you all kisses said Momma. So cute.

    • We'll wait until LO is a bit older. The main character asks what if various animals come into her room while she's sleeping. LO isn't afraid, yet, so we'll save this one to help him if he becomes afraid.

    • This one is a cute story about a little chicken who's afraid to go to sleep. You never know, alligators and tigers just might come in while you're in bed. Mama Chicken has all the right answers, though. Fun, but not one that got requested over and over (by my fickle 2 1/2 y/o at least).

    • This little bedtime chick has an imagination like Scaredy Squirrel. What a string of "what if"s Lulu comes up with, but Momma hen has an eanswer for each and every one. Oversized, boldly colored images make Lulu even loonier.

    • I haven't gotten to read this one yet, but overheard my husband reading it to the kids at bedtime tonight, and it sounded cute. I'll update with an actual opinion if I get a chance to read it. For now, I'm just noting that they've read it.

    • Picture book. A very cute story that kids can relate to if they were ever scared of things coming in their room while they were sleeping.

    • A current bedtime favorite, we are excited to see a live production based on the book next week at Sunset Playhouse in Elm Grove, WI.

    • One of the all-time best children's books ever. Our copy is falling apart because I've been reading it for almost 12 years. Paulette Bogan is a favorite author of ours.

    • This book has great illustrations. It is also a good way to combat night terrors that many children suffer from.

    • My kids love this book. They really like how the little chicken freaks out about the animals that could come into the room at night.

    • Silly little story about a chicken stalling while it's mom try's to put her to bed. On of my kids very favorite bedtime books.
